She had an unusual experience, while drawing sound.

Installed by a busy roadside, the sound carved itself into the snaking shape of the road at that spot. As she moved her body, over and over in rhythm with the sound, a curious perception came over her, in which the sound somehow became a literal extension of herself. It occurred to her that if she could hear at a distance, then on some level, those sounds were a part of her, and by extension that she was also a part of the environment.
